I have have been living in spiritual darkness for the past year or so in my life; rolling from sin to sin and never being able to break the chain. But I truly feel that very recently God made the decision to pull me back in to His will and I am most grateful and excited to have returned to Him. Praise God
Halleluyah! Our God is ever faithful and ever loving! I am
proud and glad to be a VOG member and to top it all, being a celestial
church member. This is all by the Grace of God. That is my testimony. The fact
that I was called into this fold amidst troubles and trials, not
believing for once that God will receive me as His child again after
committing several sins over and over again. But he did, because of the
insurmountable love He has for me. I give him the Glory! For someone that lost
all hope in life, I am glad that God called me and chose me and I
believe that He will glorify his name through me. My testimony is just
this and my advice is Hold fast to God and accept Christ as your Savior
and you will never regret that you did. May his name be forever
glorified. Amen.
I was just getting ready to receive a new project and possibly get promoted, when my boss called me into his office and told me that He was sorry, but He had to let me go. This news was very devastating to me. Furthermore, my husband fell very ill during the same period. I continued to just pray and believe that God would manifest His glory in my life. So I began job hunting, and a number of months went by without any promising leads. Then, at church (VOG), the elders began special weekly prayers for me. In a short while, I started to feel and see the power of God in my life. I knew that God was going to do something good for me, because He has never and never will forsake me. In a few months, I was offered 3 different jobs. Now, my problem changed from not having a job to not knowing which job to pick. God really blessed my situation, and once again, I called on a few people from church to help me pray about the job I was going to pick. All of them, on separate occasions, told me the same one. The Spirit of God is One. The God we serve in VOG is truly, the Almighty, Benevolent and Great Jehovah. Praise God!!!
I failed a very important exam in my lifenot once, not twice, but three times. And before and after every failure, I came before God, giving Him thanks and praises. His word says that we should make our requests known unto Him through thanksgiving. Therefore, before I sat for each exam, I would ask Him to please help me pass it, through prayer and thanksgiving. Furthermore, in His word, it also says that; in all things, we should give thanks unto God. So, every time I received a failing grade, I would go to God and give Him thanks. (In essence, thanking Him for the failure).
Eventually, on my fourth and final chance, I went to God in prayer and gave thanks like I always did, and a friend called me and told me that He saw me giving thanksand also sharing a testimony to the church about how I passed an exam. This friend knew absolutely nothing of the events or situation going on in my life.
Feeling a little better because of this revelation, I went and took the exam, and during the break time. The spirit of God told me to find someone and give alms, but the area I was did not offer me the best opportunity to do this. But I just kept on searching, until there was about 3 minutes left for me to return to the exam, when I saw a man that asked me if I had some change. As fast as I could, I dipped into my pocket and gave him what I would.
I returned into the exam hall, believing that God was in complete control. After a few drowsy episodes, I finished the exam. A few weeks later, I received my score, and I finally passed it. I really thank God and give Him all the glory, because His ways, though mysterious, are perfect. No matter what hardship you may be facing, even when it seems like all hope is lost, just continue to pray, believe and give thanks to God. He will hearken to all our prayers in Jesus Name.
