POST SERVICE INTERCESSORY SESSIONS
James 5: 13-14 “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. 14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
This involves the help of several prayer warrior of the parish who stay late after each service to offer prayers on behalf of people seeking one thing or another from the Lord
PRAYER PARTNERING
James 5: 16 “…pray for each other so that you may be healed.” Prayer partnering improves the camaraderie between members of the congregation & also encourages us to pray for one another as Christ did instruct. Random pairing of people to interact and pray for each other over an appointed period of time.
TELEPHONE INTERCESSORY PRAYER MINISTRY
The Telephone Ministry (via a teleconferencing system) is another innovative means we reach out to people in need of God Grace and cannot necessarily be involved in all the other prayer programs. See Celestial Connections for more.
PRAYER WORKSHOPS & PRAYER BOOK
Workshops will be offered at various times in an effort to equip those who are interested in learning more about prayer. Come and discover the principles, purpose and power behind prayer. Also work on putting together a prayer book that people can take home to develop their prayer lives.
Counselling
Objectives:
To help all who desire better face various difficulties that they find along life's way and hopefully find solutions too.Simply be there with a lending ear when one is needed to help avail the weight of the inevitable situations To provide a trustworthy outlet to discuss social and internal fears and troubles one may be facing.A ministry focused on healing the individual and family of their emotional, behavioral, spiritual, and relational problems.
Provisions
We are able to help with a wide range of issues that include, but are not limited to: grief, depression and anxiety, marital issues, family issues, job adjustment, communication, addictions, disorders, self-esteem, and sexual dysfunction.
At times, we could invite certified counselors or psychologist who will work in conjunction with the Shepherd and gifted members of the ministry on counseling techniques and requirements and resolving problems without becoming a part of the problem themselves; how to remain spiritually, emotionally and even sexually unbiased as they execute the duties of that office, how to be mediators without being instigators; how to counsel.
